Easy to use, good channels

So I finally cut the cord, you know? My friend told me about Fubo, and I gave it a try. I went with the Pro Plan, which has plenty of channels for me and the family. The interface was super easy to figure out, even for my parents. Watched some local channels and a few HGTV shows. No complaints, it's just a good way to watch TV without all the cable hassle.

Good value for sports

I was looking for a streaming service that wouldn't break the bank but still had a lot of sports. I signed up for the Fubo Pro Plan during their free trial offer, and it worked out great. Got to test it before committing. The channel lineup is solid for the price, especially with ESPN and FS1. Felt like a good deal overall.

Decent service, a few hiccups

I decided to try Fubo for the NFL season, opting for the Fubo Elite Plan because of the extra sports channels and 4K streaming. Ordering was straightforward on their website; I just picked the plan and added the Sports Plus with NFL RedZone add-on. Delivery, well, it's a streaming service, so access was instant. Quality-wise, most channels looked great, especially the 4K streams during some football games, but occasionally I noticed a slight buffering on my older smart TV. Customer support was okay when I had a question about the Cloud DVR storage, they responded within a day. Usability is pretty intuitive, I could easily navigate channels and set recordings. It's a solid option for sports fans, but check your internet speed for 4K.

RedZone worked well

Signed up for the Fubo Pro Plan to get NFL RedZone. It worked perfectly. Stream was clear, no issues. Cancelation was easy after the season. Simple and effective.

Does anyone know if Fubo has all the local channels like ABC, CBS, FOX in, say, Los Angeles? Don't want to miss my local news.

B Beth 2 months ago
They usually do, but it can depend on your exact zip code. You can plug it into their website to check before signing up, that's what I did.

Most big cities have 'em. I'm in NY and get all the major locals. LA should be fine, but yeah, double check the site.

Is NFL RedZone included in any of the base packages, or is it always an extra add-on?

R Renee W. 2 months ago
It's an add-on, part of the Sports Plus package. Totally worth it if you're big into fantasy football though.

N Noor Whitfield 2 months ago
Nah, RedZone's usually an extra. They do sometimes run promos where you get the Sports Plus add-on discounted for a bit, so keep an eye out for that.

How does Fubo compare to YouTube TV for sports? Specifically, like, actual live game coverage and not just highlights.

P Paula C. 2 months ago
Fubo is pretty heavy on sports, probably more so than YTTV if you're talking sheer volume of sports channels. But YTTV has unlimited DVR which is nice. Depends on what sports you watch though.

I went with Fubo 'cause it had more of the international soccer stuff I like, plus the regional sports networks. YTTV is good but Fubo felt more tailored for hardcore sports fans, especially soccer.

I'm thinking about switching from DirecTV Stream. Is Fubo actually cheaper, or does it end up being similar once you add all the sports stuff?

B Beth P. 2 months ago
It can be cheaper, especially since you don't have all those hidden fees and equipment rental like satellite. But if you load up on every single sports add-on, it can definitely add up.

Initially, it's cheaper. DirecTV Stream is pretty pricy. Fubo's base plans are more competitive, but if you need like, NBA League Pass AND NHL Network AND International Sports Plus, then the gap closes a bit.

Got a promo code from a friend. Where exactly do I punch that in when signing up?

N Nick S. 2 months ago
You'll see a spot for it during the checkout process on their website, like, right before you confirm payment. It's not usually on the app, gotta be on the site.

Yeah, it's pretty late in the signup flow. Make sure you're doing it on a computer or browser, not the app.

I'm a student, are there any special discounts for us? Or is it just the free trial for everyone?

N Neil T. 2 months ago
I haven't seen a specific student discount mentioned much. Usually it's just the free trial or sometimes a first-month promo for new users.

M Mark L. 2 months ago
They used to have one, I think? But I don't see it active right now. Your best bet is probably to snag a free trial or look out for a general new customer deal.

Can I watch Fubo on my Apple TV and my phone at the same time? Or is it just one device?

D Dana K. 1 month ago
Yeah, you can watch on multiple devices. I usually have it on my TV and my kid watches something else on an iPad without issues.

The Pro plan lets you stream on up to 10 screens at home, and two on the go. Plenty for a family.

Thinking of trying Fubo for the football season. Is that 7-day free trial legit, or do they make it super hard to cancel?

C Cleo Brooks 2 months ago
Yeah, it's legit. I did it last year for the playoffs, just remember to cancel before the 7 days are up if you don't want to get charged. It's pretty straightforward in the account settings.

It's easy enough. Just make sure you cancel online, not through an app store, those can sometimes be tricky with subscriptions.
